The Oaks is a European based, English speaking Lord of the Rings Online Kinship for mature players. We are a mid-sized group of players who are fans of Tolkien's world. We play on the Laurelin European server where you can usually find a handful of members on at any time.

We are a friendly and sociable multi-cultural bunch, with members from across Europe and the USA. Our goals as a kinship are quite loose. We always aim to play LotRO in the spirit of the game - we are completely opposed to any use of game exploits. We enjoy social chatting, fellowship grouping for all levels and go out of our way to help other members with crafting and quests.  We like to think we are a helpful and welcoming Kinship!

We do a fair amount of event organising - regular Instance, Skirmish & Raid runs, as well as lighter events like the Great Chicken Run!

At 21:22:04 (GMT) on 11th November 2009, an Oldlineth Oaks team defeated The Blind One for the first time. The team that was there was only able to achieve this thanks to the hard work and tenacity the whole Kin showed over a number of weeks in fighting our way through the many challenges that Dar Narbugud threw at us.

Together the whole Kin developed our skills, strategies and tactics to make the defeat of one of the hardest encounters in LotRO possible.
